AP Summer Assignments
and Summer Reading Lists
2009

Please Read
Important Information about the AP Summer Assignments

AP courses are academically rigorous and challenging. They will motivate you to explore new ideas and enhance your skills in analysis and critical thinking. We want you to be successful. While participation is voluntary, we strongly encourage you to complete the summer assignment for the AP course(s) that you are taking in 2009-10. We want you to feel prepared for your class and less pressured during the first weeks of the AP course.

Again, we want you to take this opportunity to get ahead, to read books and explore questions and ideas that you will be studying during the year. Your time spent doing these assignments will be rewarded with a much better understanding of the subject at this advanced level.

Good luck and enjoy the experience!

The Public Library  is offering great incentive prizes for reading this summer, with prizes given out at intervals during the summer.  Check their website for more details.
